     First of all, let’s start by understanding the definition of “AI”. AI stands for Artificial Intelligence. The processes include learning (the gathering of data and the guidelines for its application), reasoning (applying guidelines to arrive at broad or precise conclusions), and self-correction. AI includes plenty of subfields, including robotics, computer versions, machine learning, natural language processing, and expert systems. Making machines capable of tasks that would typically need human intelligence is the goal of artificial intelligence. These tasks may involve problem-solving, pattern recognition, natural language comprehension, and decision-making. Applications of artificial intelligence (AI) can be found in many fields, such as healthcare, banking, transportation, education, and entertainment.

Before Artificial intelligence became well known to people today, it is undeniable to say that its history is very interesting. The history of artificial intelligence is a journey that spans from ancient civilizations to modern times. Starts with the Ancient Roots where the creation of artificial beings with human-like intelligence, can be traced back to ancient myths and stories. Moving on to Early Ideas around the 19th century, the beginning of formal talks regarding artificial intelligence, with mathematician George Boole’s work on symbolic logic serving as the foundation for computational thinking. In the mid-20th century, AI officially began and was marked by significant milestones such as Alan Turing’s proposal of the Turing Test in 1950 and the coining of the term “artificial intelligence” in 1956. Throughout the decades, researchers developed early AI programs, facing periods of reducing funding and disillusionment, and witnessed renewed interest and advancements in AI technologies. In the last few years, AI has made big advancements, which means it’s being used in many areas. However, people are still worried about how AI might affect society and ethics. 

People’s thoughts when AI first entered the society

     At first, people had different feelings about artificial intelligence (AI). Some thought AI was amazing and could change the world for the better. They believed it could make things easier, work faster, and even think like humans. They saw AI as a solution to tough problems and thought it could do repetitive tasks automatically.

But others were worried about AI. They thought it might take away jobs from people, become too smart, or even be dangerous for humanity. They were concerned that AI might make mistakes, be unfair, or not follow ethical rules. Also, the way AI was shown in movies and books, sometimes as good and sometimes as bad, made people both excited and nervous about what it could mean for the future.

In short, people had different opinions about AI at first. Some were excited and hopeful, while others were cautious and worried.

The relationship between AI and society

     AI is considered to be one of the things that has an enormous influence on today’s society. The relationship between AI and society is continually becoming more relevant. AI began to become more important in society during the late 20th century, especially in the 1980s and 1990s. It started being used in different industries and areas. But it wasn’t until the early 21st century, with better computers, smarter algorithms, and more data, that AI took off. During this time, AI started being used in many parts of life, like healthcare, finance, transportation, and entertainment, and it became something that people use every day all over the world.

Influence that AI has on society / The importance of AI

There might be a question about how important is AI and its influence on human life. Moreover, AI is praised for its ability to solve problems in society. AI can solve a wide range of societal issues in different fields. It is significantly related to society and is impacting various aspects of human life including:

Before VS After AI entering society / Differences

Since AI was created, there have been comparative differences before and after AI plays a role in society. Before AI became a part of society, people did most tasks using their own hands and brains. They communicated mostly by talking face-to-face, writing letters, or calling each other. Making decisions was based on what people thought was best, and many tasks were done manually, without much help from machines.

     But after AI became a part of society, things changed a lot. Tasks that used to take a long time and needed a lot of effort could now be done by machines, making things faster and more efficient. AI-powered systems could do complicated math and analyze data much quicker than humans. Communication also got easier with things like chatbots and virtual assistants. AI even helped people make better decisions by giving them smart suggestions based on data.

     However, along with these changes came some worries. Some people were concerned that AI might take away jobs or invade their privacy. They also worried that AI systems might be biased or make mistakes. As AI kept getting better and faster, people realized it was important to make rules to use it responsibly and fairly. Overall, AI changed how we do things, how we share information, and how we make decisions. While it brought lots of good things, it also made us think more about how to use it right and make sure everyone benefits from it.
